Cookie Policy
Last Updated: February 18, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how ChicDevice uses cookies and similar technologies on www.chicdevice.com, and how you can manage them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites work securely, remember preferences, understand usage, and support marketing. "Similar technologies" includes local storage, pixels/tags, and software development kits (SDKs) that perform comparable functions.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary Cookies
Required for the site to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. Examples: session authentication for your wholesale account, shopping-cart persistence, checkout and fraud-prevention tokens, load-balancing, and security (CSRF) protections. These are typically set only in response to actions you take (login, add-to-cart, submit inquiry). Blocking them may break ordering functions.
Functional Cookies
Enable enhanced functionality such as remembering your language preference (site locale like en-US, de-DE…), currency display, region-based warehouse selection, recently viewed product lists, and customized dashboard layouts. If disabled, some conveniences fall back to defaults.
Analytics & Performance Cookies
Help us count visits, measure feature usage, and diagnose errors by collecting aggregated statistics — pages viewed, referral source, device/browser class, approximate country, and events like "quote requested". Where a third-party analytics provider is used, IP addresses are truncated/anonymized where technically feasible. Insights guide catalog structure, search relevance, and performance tuning.
Marketing & Attribution Cookies
Set by us or advertising partners to measure campaign effectiveness, attribute wholesale-account signups to marketing channels, build audiences for relevant B2B promotions, and cap ad frequency across networks. These cookies require your consent where local law demands it, and enable cross-site tracking by their nature.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies come from providers embedded in our pages, currently limited to operational partners such as analytics platforms and payment/logistics widgets (for example PayPal checkout components or carrier rate widgets). Third parties process data under their own privacy policies; names of active providers appear in our consent tool before any optional cookie is set.
4. Consent and Managing Preferences
On first visit, our cookie banner lets you:
- Accept all cookies;
- Reject all non-essential cookies (strictly necessary remain active);
- Open granular settings and toggle each category independently.
Your choices are remembered for up to 12 months and can be changed anytime via the "Cookie Settings" link in the site footer. Withdrawing consent stops further setting of the affected categories but does not delete previously placed cookies — clear them through your browser if desired.
5. Browser Controls
All major browsers let you view, block, restrict, or delete cookies:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies;
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data;
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies;
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent login, cart use, or quote submission.
6. Do Not Track
We treat Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an objection to non-essential cookies where recognized by law. Legacy browser "Do Not Track" headers have no standardized meaning; GPC and our consent banner are authoritative.
7. Retention Periods
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies live between 1 month and 12 months depending on purpose (account convenience vs. attribution windows), unless deleted earlier through browser controls.
8. Updates to This Policy
Material changes to cookie usage or providers will refresh the "Last Updated" date and, where required, re-prompt consent.
9. Contact Us
